This is great! Beautiful visuals, intuitive puzzles, and tight controls. Though I found a glitch where you can displace the camera from the player; if you fall off a ledge while flipping a switch, the block-moving cutscene plays out, but the camera returns to the switch's position instead of the player's. Otherwise, I had a lot of fun playing :)
Very kjoot game, played this with my hubby and we loved it <33
The level design is especially really cool. I really liked it ^w^
Played it start to finish, and now I want more! Very good! The characters are super cute, and the music is absolutely beautiful.
I would probably kill for a full-length game with more levels, characters, and mechanics.
absolutely love every aspect about this lil game, the art and music are so cool and the gameplay is smooth
Extremely impressive for a game jam title! Digging through the blocks feels very satisfying and smooth, plus it doesn't overstay it's welcome and shows off some cute ideas. Too many moving platforms for my tastes perhaps, but that's the speedrunner in me showing. Very lovely game and very fun little concept!
Okay, it's cute, it's polished, I like it... How am I supposed to hit a second direction after jumping out of sand. It's too quick. There's not enough airtime to do that on a keyboard. Or my keyboard. With (probably) pre-arthritic hands.
Such a cute little game, I had such a nice time playing it! Perfect level of difficulty, feels snappy to play, lovely art, music and sound design, it's great! Would be cool to see more of Mortimer in the future. :]
Super cute! Had a great time with it! I love how fleshed out the mechanics get as you get further in. I am a Mortimer FAN!
Just created an account to Leave a review, love the game, honestly reminded me of Ori and the will of the wisps Burrow mechanic.
nice cute game :3 you can also moonwalk if you hold up x
This was pretty cool, the eye and amulet stuff got me nodding along. Art's very nice, music's alright for a game like this. Short and sweet, like morning breakfast.
I was positively surprised by the game's length and how deeply it explores the mechanics it introduces. I had a ton of fun!
Very cute and fun game! The pixel art is great and I really like how the level gimmicks are used together, especially in the final area!
mortimer and agatha should get to kiss i think. also the game was fun
Oh, this was so darling!!
Felt snappy and fun to play - would be a hoot to speedrun with all the cycles involved.
Awesome little game! Love how creative the puzzles are, and they're not too hard that it's frustrating and it's not too easy that it's boring. I especially love the magic amulet, I don't think I've seen that mechanic elsewhere. Controls felt fantastic; smooth, responsive and just satisfying in general. There was some issue with the screen shaking though, it gets unplayable in fullscreen but it's not too bad outside. I don't know if it's the fault of the game itself or something on my end, but I still enjoyed the game a lot. If you guys decide to expand on this, I would definitely buy it!
This is awesome!! Digging is so satisfying and the mechanics are introduced expertly! Can't wait to see the speedrunning strats hehe
very cute, thank you for sharing such a delightful gem
FANTASTIC!! Ya'll have really outdone yourselves with this one.
The art is all so brilliantly cute and expressive. The music is top notch (the cave music is so addicting) and the game mechanics are a joy to discover. By far my favorite part was seeing the part where the wall blocks you only to discover a pedestal a few jumps later and that realization of "OHHH" when I realized how this game was playing with the mechanics of "unseen" and how "seeing" isn't always the RIGHT answer. Amazing game design all around. Loved it so much ^W^
(I can tell ya'll playtested the heck out of this game because those timers were PERFECTLY tight enough to feel the intensity of getting it on time haha)
Super well polished and designed, I loved the amulet light section and reminded me of the orb sections from the first Ori (but was actually good).
Also plz add a level select!!!
Exceptional. Looking forward to playing it when it's playable (Past level 3).
This version is fun, I'm looking forward to the working, complete one!
game is nice! it isn't very left handed friendly though which sucks for me but i kinda got used to it. got stuck at this part tho so hopefully that gets fixed lol
LOL, the same happened to me.
Hopefully post game jam you'll add a save progress or auto save functionality. Enjoyable game. Level 3 with the timed golden platforms definitely upped the difficulty.
I'm using FF on MacOS and it crashed for me at the start of level 4, by the way. But when the game gets updated, I'll probably give it another go, maybe in Chrome instead.
Really nice, loved digging around
there is one section i think in level 3 where the platform is on a timer but the timing is too tight for me so i gave up at that point . nice game up until then
This looks very polished. Very sus for a jam game but in a positive way.
Very cool game. I got pretty far like, 4th level but i fell down a huge chasm and landed on invisible blocks, softlocking myself. I would ask maybe making it easier to enter tunnels like, double clicking space or something like that, you have a gem if you can make it feel better to play. Otherwise the art screams quality and I found myself unable to escape (from playing) :)
Seems like the invisible platforms are completely intentional, but there is a limit to how far you can get in this section
